This Low Cost 3D Printed Ground Support Equipment is designed to fly Contrail Rockets hybrid motors using Contrail Rockets 12 volt igniters. It has a removable safety key. The fill, purge, arm and fire are all heavy duty electrical switches and the communication is achieved via standard 16-3 wire extension cords. They can be dragged thru the dirt driven over and then thrown in the back of your vehicle without fear of damaging a connector. The electrical cords are not included this system. This GSE has been tested to 300 feet. The leads from the pad controller to the NOS valves can be a 2 wire extension cord with the female end cut off and spliced to your valve. This makes any future repairs something you can do without taking your equipment out of service.

Description

This GSE is designed to operate off of a standard 12-volt automotive battery. The Battery is kept at the RSO table not out at the pad. This GSE is designed for the low wattage 8 watt and 22 watt solenoid valves sold by Contrail Rockets. It has not been tested with any other valves. It has a 10-amp blade fuse inside the GSE Controller. The Instructions are clearly printed on the GSE Controller (switch box) and the Pad Box. An eight-foot power cable is designed to clamp onto the battery posts. The power cable 16-3 100 foot (up to 3) are customer provided. In addition an igniter cable needs to be provided. A heavy duty 12-2 eight-foot cable is available from Contrail Rockets. This controller is great for L1 and L2 motors from 100 to 300 feet. It will not function at extended distances.
